Can Exercise Prevent Cancer? - August 24th, 2009

Can exercise prevent cancer?  That’s a question in many minds, at least lately.  There are a number of different types of common cancer, and any diagnosis involving them can be potentially rather scary to say the least.  Early detection is of course the best way to deal with it.  But you can also live a healthy lifestyle in general.  In short, you shouldn’t smoke, you should exercise to prevent obesity, and you should always have a healthy diet to make sure that you are getting the vitamins and minerals among other things that your body actually needs.  All of these things will not only help you to achieve better health in general and moreover weight loss or maintenance, it will also help you to prevent many of the main causes of cancer, or at least that’s what many currently think.  A healthy lifestyle in general will also help you to prevent heart disease and other certain health problems in general.  So it’s definitely not a bad thing to exercise, not a bad thing to diet, and not a bad thing to take care of yourself.  It of course won’t stop all cases of cancer, but it won’t hurt anything at all.
